We have designed a special program of treatments and energy therapies for the retreats. They follow the same time-tested principles and procedures described in the ancient texts of Ayurveda to create profound mind-body connections, improve clarity of emotions, refine intuition and build resilience.

The retreats promotes the natural self-repair mechanisms of the body, deep rest, introspection, balanced emotions, refined perception and increased vitality.

Only natural ingredients, herbs, and pure essential oils are used during the treatments. The purity of the ingredients amplifies the therapeutic effect of the treatments and the benefits derived from the retreat.

A One-Week Journey to Resilience at Rosewood Mayakoba

This retreat is grounded in knowledge and direct experiences, to help enliven in each participant the deepest possible range of resilience qualities in a short period of time, comfortably.

The retreat starts with a one-to-one session with our own Daniel Seymour, resident Ayurveda and Clinical Aromatherapy practioner at Rosewood Mayakoba.

At the end of the session, you will have a clear understanding of the fundamentals of resilience; their usefulness in your lifestyle; how the retreat will set you on a natural track of resilience certainty, from your deepest mind-body connection, and how each treatment and experience will be personalized and work in synergy with each other to amplify your overall retreat experience.

The retreat restores our mind-body resilience memory. It triggers resilience comes from within, the kind of resilience that it is spontaneous, not intellectual because it is cultured and nurtured every day by simple habits, resulting in a spontaneous mind-body resilience response, whenever it is needed.

The Journey to Resilience give you a holistic and practical perspective on resilience, based on the established age old wisdom of resilience in Ayurveda and Indigenous medecine.

Stretching and Mobility

Available to retreat participants only.

The Resilience Journey uses stretching, mobility and breathing techniques to help send a gentle signal to the body’s inner mechanisms that a change of habits is on the way. It is a change from non-resilience to resilience.

A spontaneous and sustained mind-body resilience response requires that mind and body collaborate so intentions and matter move together. The sessions build resilience through a slow and effortless practice, removing the resistance to change, and favor flowing instead of holding on.

Perfection in stretching is not the immediate goal though. Instead, stretching is used as a secret to facilitate the inner transformations required to build resilience and help the mind and the body move forward together. Resilience from within is not achieved by brute force, but by gently nurturing, listening and adjusting our inner flow. The result is that we gradually unlock the gates of our new paradigm of spontaneous and sustained resilience.

You will learn how to use intentions through stretching and breathing to nurture the qualities that strengthen the values of the Resilience Journey. Session I will teaches you how to use intentions to change their inner rhythm and adapt to new realities. Session II will direct your intentions to the stability that is needed to develop resilience certainty, and the mind-body purification required in the process. Session III shifts intentions towards the integration of inner abilities and the growth to resilience.

At the end of each session you learn how the knowledge of the session contributes to developing the values of the Resilience Journey of positivism, resourcefulness, purposefulness, and empathy. The sessions also serve as a grounding influence during this period of deeper inner experiences and transformations.

Conscious Body Ritual

Resilience, like every human experience, has its own style of mind-body connection. The road to resilience requires letting go of the non constructive connections along with the perceptions and emotions that strive in them. Conscious Body Ritual does just that.

The ritual achieves this mind-body reset by gently treating the body with 11 specially selected pure essential oils and oil remedies. Each essential oil is known in clinical aromatherapy for its therapeutic benefits. They are known in the indigenous traditions around the world for their ability to enliven nature’s intelligence in the body. They eliminate the deep-rooted emotions and belief systems of non resilience that insidiously alter our perceptions and values.

This process of letting go of non constructive mind-body connections naturally purifies the body and expands the mind. It leads to experiences of positivity, resourcefulness, purposefulness, and empathy, as well as a sense of deep relief, stability, inner contentment, joyfulness, and more refined levels of feelings.

The ritual treats key pressure points on the body. Pressure points are considered as warehouses of emotions. Each one specializes in the storage of a specific emotion and produces a related biochemistry.

Conscious Body Ritual restores balance in key pressure points of the body. It creates a refreshing influence in the mind and promotes mind-body connections associated with resilience. The ritual also uses lymphatic drainage to remove toxins from the body.

When approached from this deep within, resilience becomes a spontaneous, unbreakable living reality.

Premium Ayurveda Aromatherapy Massage

This grounding and integrating experience starts with a gentle and complete stretching of the neck with essential oil remedies to release accumulated tensions. Neck and shoulders traditionally carry the weight of non resilience.

This initial treatment prepares the journey participant for a full body Ayurveda massage, rich with a remedy of essential oils personalized according to the participant specific condition.

The road to resilience requires a healthy and resilient body. At different times during the Premium Ayurveda Aromatherapy Massage, special attention goes to balancing different aspects of the body and its energy points.

By lubricating the joints with the specially prepared oil remedies, the Premium Ayurveda Aromatherapy Massage reduces joints pain and inflammation; reduces muscle stiffness and spasm; clears blockages; improves blood circulation; nourishes the skin and improves its texture.

The Premium Ayurveda and Aromatherapy Massage promotes a gentle detox throughout the body, digestive health, and increases stamina. The treatment relieves from physical and mental fatigue and promotes a better quality of sleep.

Prana ritual

Available to retreat participants only.

This holistic olfactory ritual creates a deeply balancing influence in the limbic system, the area of the brain that stores all of our experiences. On the road to resilience, changes in the limbic system are of vital importance to let go of the old paradigm and accelerate the integration of new values associated with high resilience.

The ritual requires 3 sessions over a period of 2 to 3 days. Each session consists of 2 olfactive treatments of 25 minutes each with a resting period of 5 minutes between treatments. Two essential oils are used during the ritual. They are chosen anonymously among a set of oils, according to ritual protocol and a specific personal intention silently formulated by the Resilience Journey participant. The oils selected during the first session are repeated in the subsequent ones.

The ritual is designed to provide all journey participants with a transforming and complete aromatic immersion for a profound physiological, mental, emotional, and spiritual experience.

Pure essential oils contain the essence and soul of aromatic medicinal plants. In ancient times, they were used as gifts to the kings and royal courts because of their refined expressions of nature’s healing powers. They help heal those who use them and fill their hearts with bliss and exaltation.

The Prana Ritual uses pure essential oils, carefully selected around the world for their rich biochemistry, high vibrational value, and special provider storage conditions that increase their effectiveness.

Ancient sounds of nature

This Mind-Body integration through sounds before sleep is based on the knowledge of Vedic Science which goes into the details of how every part of the physiology is the expression of the vibrations of consciousness, as available in the sounds of the ancient Vedic Literature.

You will learn that consciousness flows through sound. Speech expresses the consciousness or the Self. The Self expresses itself in its own reverberations, which we refer to as sound.

So sound is a basic reality of physiology. Sound is basic to all physiological expressions, therefore the approach through vedic sound will be nourishing and evolutionary to the brain and every aspect of the physiology, because it is the most fundamental to the body. Vedic Sound Therapy is able to remedy disorders and promote order.

Resilience is lost when the connection between the body and its source in sound is lost. Participants will learn that whatever sound has made the physiology, that alone can remedy it. If something wrong has gone into it, treating the cause will amend the effect. Consciousness is the cause and the effect is the physiology, therefore the consciousness approach to any disorder will be a very right approach to completely remedy the disorder. It is also an approach reflected in meditation, especially Transcendental Meditation.

Listening to the vedic rhythms of nature and the physiology during the Resilience Journey helps activate the blueprint of mind-body connection, and strengthen the deeply transforming influences created by the other experiences and activities during the Resilience Journey.
